About SaleDrop

SaleDrop tracks prices at South African retailers and keeps the history. A lot of "sales" are not really sales: the was-price is inflated, or the item sat at the so-called discount for months. We record what an item actually cost over time, so you can judge a deal for yourself.

How it works

We check prices at retailers like Bash, Incredible Connection and OneDayOnly on a regular schedule and store every price change. On a deal page you can see the lowest and highest price we have recorded, the price the item usually sells at, and a chart of how the price moved.

What we do not do

We do not sell anything. We link out to the retailer, where you complete your purchase. We do not copy retailer descriptions, and we do not invent price drops. If our history for an item is thin, we say so.

How we make money

Some links to retailers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking. This never changes the price you pay, and it does not change what we record or how we report a deal.
